National Board Teacher Awards

Every year, the BCEE celebrates and acknowledges the accomplishments of the newest National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs) from all over the state at an awards dinner. Representatives for the business and education communities come together to congratulate and recognize these teachers for achieving the hallmark of excellence in their profession. Teachers in the process of pursuing National Board Certification are also invited to attend and receive recognition of their dedication and hard work thus far.

At the awards dinner, new NBCTs receive the BCEE's Crystal Apple Award and have their picture taken for subsequent press releases.

In addition, the BCEE honors the New Jersey National Board Administrator of the Year. This award is given to a school administrator who has shown exceptional support of the National Board process and teachers pursuing National Board Certification, as defined by participating teachers.
