Sixteen Newest National Board Certified Teachers Being Honored by BCEE

On April 22 the Business Coalition for Educational Excellence (BCEE) will honor the 16 newest National Board Certified Teachers. Certification to the National Board for Professional teaching Standards is the hallmark of excellence in the teaching profession. Teachers pursuing the certification must document their subject matter knowledge, provide evidence that they know how to teach their subject to children and demonstrate their ability to manage and measure student learning.

Over 1,500 Students Meeting the "Challenge"

More than 1,500 students in 19 middle and high schools across New Jersey are proving their proficiencies in computer applications through the BCEE’s "Technology Challenge," a unique on-line assessment which allows participants to show what they know and are able to do in common business applications.

The Challenge can be used as curriculum, pre-tests/post-tests or as placement assessments for specialized training courses or classroom assignments and are appropriate for students in grades seven through twelve, teachers, administrators and college students and personnel. For your business, the Technology Challenge can be used to assess computer proficiency in job candidates or serve as a dynamic training tool for employees required to have computer proficiency.

Interested in testing your skills? A free sample Challenge is available 24/7 at http://www.technologychallenge.org.
